STEP 2 - Drilling
Having carried out the survey the exact location of the injection
holes can now be worked out.
Badger Insulation uses electric drills to carry out this work rather
that the more powerful compressed air drills that are available.
A 15mm hole, normally drilled in the mortar is the smallest injection
hole of all the systems on the market. It is also the only system
that can be used on raked out brickwork as a larger sized hole would
damage the three bricks adjacent to the hole.
On rendered walls as it is not possible to locate the mortar course,
the holes will most likely be drilled through the bricks. Note on
rendered walls we will repaint the holes, but it is not possible
to guarantee an exact match with the original paint and it may be
necessary to have the wall redecorated after the insulation work
has been completed.
