Survey Procedure
When you request a free survey and quotation the surveyor will
inspect the property to ensure it is suitable and free of any defects.
One of the first checks is to establish that there is an 11inch
Cavity Wall and not the older 9 inch solid wall.
Generally the surveyor is hoping to find the property is in a good
state of repair e.g. the walls are not in need of re pointing and
there are no cracks in the brickwork. Additional information will
be noted on the survey sheet such as the location of all flues,
chimneys, air bricks and any other unusual features.
If the client places an order to insulate the property the local
authority will be notified of the intent to carry out the work.
Badger Insulation will sign to say that the property has been inspected
and is suitable for the work to go ahead. The local authouity then
has the option to inspect the property if it whishes. The inspection
by the local authorty will be free of charge if it is carried out.
A written quotation is also provided for the client.
